Ranger Information
Rangers are quite the stoics, tending to lead solitary lives in the wilderness over the
chaotic life of a city dweller. As such they roam the land laying out justic to any with
ill-intent upon their domain. Due to their lifestyle, rangers are empowered with the forces
of nature itself. As defenders of the wilderness, rangers must maintain a balance in both
spirit and mind, a mirror reflection of the primal world around them. True ranger masters
therefore are very diverse in their specializations. Due to the diversity amongst ranger
masters, training as a ranger is anything but straight-forward. Rangers possess
the mystical knowledge of the wilderness to aide in their protection, restoration and if
need be, offensive augmentation. Rangers are ultimately trained in survival by any means,
whether it be by bow, blade, hammer, fists, or uncanny elusiveness learned from their
winderness lifestyle. Master trackers, silent hunters, guardians of the wilderness... becoming
a true master ranger requires one to have an inclination to a way of life.

My deepest thanks to Negronidas and Fanar for their assistance in providing both plans and insights into the inner workings of
the ranger guild and its multitude of variations. I have provided the basic ones to get any new ranger started upon the path
of their chosen profession.

Negronidas's Comments:
Second best x-bow is the Ruby Crossbow - located in Drow Homeland Store
Can get a Halfling to craft a crossbow (uniques with credits)
Best x-bow in the game is VERY RARE off of the Storm Dragoness

Kufir's Comments:
Rangers are heavily dependent on race.
If you desire to be a Ranged Ranger (Loose), you will be primarily
concerned with your Range skill, either in bow or projectile (whichever
your race is better at) longbows [bow], crossbows [projectile].
If you desire to be a Physical Ranger (Hunt), you will be primarily
concerned with your Melee Skill, either in sharp, blunt or unarmed. (whichever
your race is better at) Please note that you will also need to factor in your
Special skill in fighting.
Unarmed Rangers, while focused on their Melee Skill in unarmed, should also
pay particular attention to their spell 'Claws of the Beast' (Misc.Self Spell)
Covert.Hiding is needed for your traps - this should be as high as possible
***GPs - around 1,300 (shouldn't be much more)
***HPs - around 10,000 (give or take with 25 con)
